It was time to clean the logos off a Shred
Truck we were selling. The Buyer wanted the truck bare; not even the trade association logo. Removing decals seemed
pretty routine back in my car racing days. You applied some heat with a hair dryer and some steady peeling action.
When performed with a steady hand and just the right amount of heat the sticker came off and the paint was fine. So
we got to work with the hair dryer and quickly realized that the science of decals has advanced just like everything else. (continued on Page Two) |

"We have been in the document imaging business
for over 10 years, and once in a while we were using a company to shred the documents we imaged. We then decided to
branch out into the shredding side of the business, and wanted a name that would stand out. A name that; when a Google
search was preformed; would be the ONLY one. Hence, the same ‘Shred Monkey’ was born.
After our first
year with the shredding, we decided to do the home show in our state. In order to stand out, we used 5 foot inflatable
monkeys at all the entrances. We thought this would be a great opportunity, since we would get to talk to people one on one
(and they averaged over 150,000+ people in attendance). During this time, someone kidnapped one of the monkeys (‘George’)!
We were going bananas and deflated that someone could do this; he was a member of our family! We called the news stations
offering a reward and to let him know we were looking for him. They came and interviewed all of us, and we talked about
how we never thought this would happen to us. We offered a year of free shredding as a reward for his safe return. The
next day we came to the office, not to find George, but a shrine that was built at our front door with flowers, stuffed animals
and notes about our missing monkey. We had a lot of people trying to collect the reward by bringing in ‘fake Georges’,
but he was never returned. We hope he is safe and being cared for, and one day, ‘George’ will come back
to us!

Company. Free Internet PagesYou may be saying to yourself …”so what!, what can a free web page do for my Company?” While we don’t recommend spending a huge amount of time on free business web pages there
are several important reasons why you will want to set up as many of these as is practical.
Reason 1.
Some people prefer these directories to the usual search providers. In most
cases your Shredding Company is already listed in some form in these “free” Directories. That
listing, derived from public sources, is likely to have many omissions or errors. By “claiming”
your listing, or registering your Shredding Company you’ll get the opportunity to list correct information and hopefully
post photographs, coupons,etc. Reason 2. Improvements to your Company web site’s,non-paid, Internet Search Engine
results are likely. One reason this is possible is that the company hosting your free web page should have
arrangements with the Internet Search Engines to provide data for their search results. Another reason
is more links. It is widely believed, in the Internet world, that the more (pertinent) hyperlinks
